The Singapore School Sports Awards

One of the major newspapers in Singapore, The New Paper is set to hold the first School Sports Star Award where it is meant to recognize sports boys and girls around the country for their remarkable achievements in their various competitions. The key focus of the awards is to reward the students’ contributions to their respective schools in their competitions either in the local, regional or international levels.

Known in short as the TNP triple S Award, it is meant not only for the sports achievements but more so on what the student has done for the school. If the student has any other awards or setting new national records, it would be regarded as bonus because that would not be the main or primary criteria. The paper is currently calling for nominations from anyone so it can be your friend, brother, classmates or a leader in the school. Anyone in the school can nominate candidates for their achievements.

The winners of the award would also win some very attractive prizes from the National Sports Associations who might be recommending their students for this award. A panel from the TNP, together with readers of the paper will then shortlist 5 boys and 5 girls from the final vote.
